VT Ballet's "The Nutcracker"

Vermont Ballet Theater is returning once again with its sixth luxurious production of The Nutcracker ballet. Now a Christmas tradition for Vermont families, an additional fourth show at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington will be added this season in response to last year’s nearly sold-out performances.
All ages will be enthralled with VBT’s Nutcracker, from the spectacular start to the resounding conclusion, with VBT company director Alexander Nagiba’s stellar choreography set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score and performed by VBT’s extraordinary dancers.
Follow the delightful adventures of Clara and the Nutcracker Prince as they conquer the evil Mouse King and travel on a mystical journey to The Land of Sweets where the enchanting Sugarplum Fairy reigns. Mice filching Christmas gifts, snowflakes swirling in dreamy white tutus, dolls spinning like tops, a fantasy world of dancers—from a Christmas tree that grows to tower over Clara and the mysterious Herr Drosselmeyer to the captivating ballerinas, VBT’s Nutcracker will thrill one and all.
