Our gallery in Burlington features the work of over 200 juried Vermont artisans. Frog Hollow exhibits a unique collection of fine traditional and contemporary Vermont craft. Our goal is to promote original works of lasting beauty and impeccable quality by providing a place for artists who reside in Vermont's rural communities to exhibit and sell their work. We seek to support and celebrate individual design and craftsmanship through the sale of items that are made by hand, with loving care and attention to detail.
Ten Thousand Villages is an exceptional source for unique handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art and sculpture, textiles and personal accessories representing the diverse cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. We create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term fair trading relationships.
In 1995, BCA won permission from the City of Burlington to convert the ground floor of the former firehouse building (now The BCA Center) into a fine arts gallery on a trial basis. Since then, the Center has blossomed into Vermont’s premiere location for contemporary art. Securing and exhibiting national-level artists from Vermont and elsewhere, the Center’s mission is to bring a unique arts experience to the public that will challenge, teach and engage. The BCA Center features two floors of Contemporary art exhibition, the Art Lab artist-in-residence studio on the fourth floor, and numerous contemporary events throughout the year including music, film and performance.
